Chiropractors are considered by definition primary care physicians as they are often the first doctor a patient will visit when experiencing back pain or neck pain. Chiropractic physicians specialize in the diagnosis and treatment musculoskeletal injuries and health problems related to the spine, joints, muscles and nerves.
Chiropractic Education is equivalent in classroom hours to that of a Medical Doctor. Chiropractors have 4 years undergraduate study, followed by 4 years of chiropractic school, as well as a 1-year internship. Chiropractors receive more training than many Medical doctors in Anatomy, Physiology, Diagnosis, X-Ray and Orthopedics.
Adjustments are treatments that involve applying manual therapy to the spine or joints that are misaligned, have abnormal movement, improper structure or are pinching a nerve.

Adjustments correct misalignments, restore motion, relieve pain, relieve nerve pressure and improve function of the spine, joints, muscles and nerves.
What can I expect on my first visit?
On your first visit the doctor will ask you about complaints, perform a detailed examination and take X-Rays if necessary. For your convenience we have X-Rays available in-office. The doctor will then explain his findings and give you a diagnosis. Finally, the doctor will discuss treatment options and treatment plan. Many times treatment begins on your first visit.
